Purpose:
Connection for the new Greenbank battery storage

 

Scope of Work:

Exacto Projects was commissioned to undertake the Greenbank Substation Extension project, aimed at enhancing the infrastructure for the integration of the new Greenbank battery storage system. The comprehensive scope of work included:

 

Substation Yard Extension:

  • Expansion of the existing substation yard to accommodate the new infrastructure required for the battery storage connection.

 

New Fence, Kerb, and Roadway:

  • Installation of new fencing, kerbs, and roadways to ensure the security and accessibility of the substation.

 

Underground Services, Drainage, and Conduit:

  • Comprehensive installation of all necessary underground services, including drainage systems and conduits. 

  • Installation of a 150,000-litre spill tank to manage and contain any potential spills, ensuring environmental safety and compliance.

 

Transformer Slab and Bunds:

  • Construction of robust transformer slabs and bunds to support the new transformers, ensuring stability and safety.

 

Foundations for 33kVA and 275kVA Connections:

  • Laying of foundations for the new 33kVA and 275kVA electrical connections, critical for the operation of the battery storage system.

Structural Steel and Hebal Panel Noise Wall:

Supply and erection of structural steel components and Hebal panels to construct a noise wall around the transformer, reducing operational noise and enhancing the substation’s environmental compliance.
